ot-i know. just curious-my knee is freakin killing me.

I have...had surgery for it too. Mine happened from lots of volleyball...then it got worse when I was tiling my kitchen floor. This was about 4 years ago. What are you feeling?

pain and tenderness. when i flex it-you can hear snap, cracle, pop loudly. painful to the touch on the outside of my knee and down about an inch.

Yes.
I tore mine while biking (race, not pedal)
I still feel it from time to time, especially if i put pressure sideways.

That doesn't sound like a meniscus but I'm not a doctor. The feeling I had was that it would only hurt when the meniscus flipped or turned over. My knee would kinda buckle. Also, when it first happened, I couldn't straighten my leg for a good day until it flipped back into place.

it's funny-i broke my back and have had zero problems with it, but my knee is driving me crazy.

yep, had surgery, now knee is better than the other one.

i didn't have any real bad tears, but on top of the tears the joint was just full of scraps of shit floating around in there. my knee sounded and felt like a rusty door hinge.

but yea, if you're worried about surgery? do your homework on doctors and get it done, about garantee you'll be glad you did.

good chance a tear could keep tearing more without attention?

i've got an appointment at 3:30-guess we'll see what the dr. says then.

No, but there was a guy who had one coming-- who I'm sure remembers me when it gets really cold.

Sorry to hear about your knee

Yep and had surgery for it. Sucks!!!

but it feels much better once you heal up!!

I've suspected that I could have some meniscus problems. Last summer when I used to run, I had a real bad pain one day. I most likely landed wrong with one of my feet. Randomly in August it just started killing me if it wasn't straight for long periods of time.

I still get the cracking sound, but the pain has gone away. I'm still thinking of having it checked out.

just got back from the doctor and he says i'm good. thinks it's soreness from where i sprained it. didn't say anything about the crunching noise.
told me to get some aspercreme.

I thought my wife tore hers....She needs surgery in a few weeks for a free floating chip behind her knee cap though....No insurance sucks...

$6000 is what it is gonna run me.

Tax deduction?

That's good news it's not torn. Did you get a MRI or was that just the Doc's opinion?

I tore my miniscus completely in half (along with tearing my ACL) about 10 years ago but I was fortunate to have good insurance and a great surgeon. Knee surgeries and treatment in general for joint inuries seems to get better every year so if you end up needing it down the road at least you can be confident in expecting a full recovery.

hi dan. no mri, his opinion. xrays didn't show anything. pain seems to move around from the outside to inside. i dunno, guess i'll wipe my pussy and man up(as my wrestling coach used to say)

I'm fairly active so these kinds of injuries scare the hell out of me. Fortunately for me my worst injury was a broken collar-bone......I was trampled in a fifty-yard dash by a bunch of first graders.

How did ya injure it? That'll be key to working out what it is...

The crunching is prolly just from the swelling...if the doc has manipulated it all out and it's stable apart from the pain, ya may have a bursitis or a tendonitis.
