Anybody know about this Explorer?

pics turned out bad, too lazy to do better.

really a little too early to comment much. It's not a Tom Anderson, ie: maybe fine tune one string out of the box to get it in tune!

right now i'm fighting it to get it to stay in tune, but appears that it will play really nice when/if it does.

just shooting from the hip, i'm gonna say it's about like the higher end ESP LTD's for quality, so an 800-900 guitar with a 1400 Gibson price tag! :D minus the 15 pound ESP truss rod!

the fret board is really nice and appearing to be way way better for playabilty than my other Explorer. there's no buzz or fretting out anywhere, think they've really stepped it up in this department.

the guitar sounds good, plays good, and hangs good! get it to hold tune i'll be a happy camper!

yea the guitar is priced a little high and they should have used a Gotoh floyd, but on the for real, finding a floyded Explorer is damn near impossible. So all things considered, if holds tune, that's good enough for me.

Congrats on the NGD. Hopefully once you get the strings stretched and get it acclimated it will hold a tune. I was going to get one but I wound up buying one on the classifieds here.

No floyd but that just means I get to save up for another floyded guitar :D . I'm pleased with the playability and fret work on this one. I don't know if 2006 was supposed to be a good year or a "bad" year for Gibson but this one seem just fine.

that's a nice one, paint may be better on it. you gonna Hetfield yours up with EMG's?

i actually like the switch up on the horn, because that's what i started with, but hate pickguards for some reason.

mine is gonna be my EVH/Mathias guitar, so no EMG's for me.

I have 2 of the 84 reissues and they are very HEAVY,i have the original "84" it's made of alder and it's nice and light.
