Is the 3 Monkeys headbox a trapezoid shape, or is it just the picture layout?

Yes, all our amps have a 5º angle on the sides to try and stand out from the crowd. The Zé box is the closest we've ever come to a traditional look, but we don't do rectangles around here ;).

I know zero about 3 Monkeys. You're gonna have Cameron in the shop though, right?

Absolutely will have all things Cameron and Friedman in the shop. Some guys might be afraid to bring things in that compete with other things. Not me, I say get all the best stuff I can find that I believe in and put it all in one spot and let the players come in and play everything and make the call. Thats what I always wanted in a store and never found. When you leave my place you will have no doubt as too what you like.

I love this philosophy! I've always wanted to A/B all the amps I've had interest in over the years with the same guitar in one room, with different speakers, etc. Definitely going to make a trip to check it out.

Oh, and the 3 Monkeys stuff looks/sounds great!

I tried one of the Blockhead amps. That nailed to the tee the Fair Warning tone. I think it was the Custom 50 but can't remember. It was made by the same guy that works know in 3 monkeys if I'm not mistaken. Ossie...
That was a GREAT amp, so I expect this one to be good as well!

Steve_K: To answer your earlier question, the jump switch brings in the more vintage sounding channel (just like jumping the two channels on a 4 input Marshall). The 'Pull Clip' on the Master does more than use diodes, but it simulates that kinda sound. We're in no way re-inventing the wheel here, just putting our spin on this type of amp.

Nico: Yes, Ossie designed the Zé and I agree his Blockhead Custom 50 nails the 'Fair Warning' EVH tone.

what an impact Jose Arrendondo had. Even if part of it was a fluke he has had more impact on amp companies than anyone.

@greg - thanks for the info. feel free to reinvent! you can always build a better mousetrap.

These guys make killer amps and there is no doubt that this amp will be amazing. The Custom 50 is a great amp and does the Fair Warning tone better than any amp I have ever played. Ossie has great ears.

That looks cool  I've heard alot of good things about 3 Monkeys ;) Nolatone is also working on higher gain amps..their known for great Vox sounds. Reason amps is another interesting one that caught my attention this past summer..sick blues tones :)

Mesa Boogie doesn't meantion Jose once in their brochures. :D Maybe if they did the Stiletto wouldn't have sucked? :)

A suggestion. The piping is wrong. Whoever makes your headshells needs to be told to do exactly what they do on the back of the amp to the front of the amp. The piping on the top of the amp when it meets the large horizontal piping needs to not have a bump. They just need to take the time to do the cut all the way. We had the same issue at Egnater and once I barked at the shop manager at a well know headshell company. They did it right!

Amp looks great, I dig how it has the old Marshall vibe, it fits the amp perfectly. I like the way you have the front panel set up with the separate volumes and gain with the pull master for clipping, I bet there's a lot of tonal variety. With the set up like that. Are these out yet?? Ballpark price and how long??

I came close to buying one of those yrs ago, when I went to pick it up someone at the shop sold it, then they weren't made any longer. Would like to find one used.

That Grease Monkey Lance did the garage demo on is for sale on TGP.
The claim is that covering was redone as per Lance. Thought that was a 3 Monkey design.
Could hace sworn I seen the 2x12's in that same covering.

....and by the way,I "ditto" watching that video a 100 times.

Jeff,
I know what you mean, but I have a couple of 70's Marshall's with the same slight bump on the front piping. That said, I did all the cabinet work myself on the proto, so it will surely be better on the production run when it's done by the guys that do it everyday (which I do not).

We recovered that head with some vintage Vox tolex Lance provided. We also built him two square 2x12's in the same covering with Vox grillcloth. Looked pretty snazzy.

We are busy with the first production run of our new 1x10 combo the Sock Monkey. The Zé is next in line, hope to have it out by summer.

Oh, and thanks everybody for the kind words.
