He'd rather pay for the ridiculous backline and all the labor, than find a vocalist. Reminds me of Robin Trower. Tours with cheap backup band.

My guess is one was actually under full power for the stage (coz it was crazy loud) and the other going to the main sound system. The others under power are probably for backup and hot swap so they are warmed up and ready to go should something go wrong.
I would suspect that others are gutted only for weight reduction (carrying around and driving around)

The volume is just hilarious.. I saw him playing a small bar down here in south florida not far from his home and he was using a 100 watt and a 50 watt with a pedal.. the first chords completely obliterated those not prepared! loool
My brother had to move back into the crowd .. it was great.

Sounds like when I saw LA guns a few years ago at a small local theater. Place holds 1200 and I couldn't even count 50 people there. I'm going to get tickets for Yngwie. The place is small so it ought to be easy to get a great view.

I opened for LA Guns about 10 years ago, same situation, huge bar and about 50 people haha even more depressing was that 30 of the people were there to see us and left right after we were done, LA Guns played to probably 15-25 people :S

Love him or hate him, you gotta give him credit for his innovation and influence on such a huge number of really fantastic bands and players over the years. He's one of the biggest douche bags in music but he has always remained consistent in his playing. If he came to my town, I would go see him in a heartbeat even if I am not really a huge fan.

Basically being a musician really means traveling T-shirt salesman.

18 cabs
6 amps running.
2 plugged in.
2 cabs being miked.
Talked with Jeff Loomis for a few minutes at the show. Yngwie sounded as good as ever.
