Ordered one yesterday. Bought it with the intentions of having something more accurate for intonation. The Pitchblack ain't cuttin' it. I don't see how LED's can provide the accuracy needed.

I have one and love it. Just know that when you hit a 12th fret harmonic it will sense that octave and sort of 'assume' you are fretting the note. Probably doesn't matter in equal tempered tuning (EQU) but if you use anything else it could.

I just set up and intonated a friends guitar he just bought one it really is great! I loved it!!

I'm still working on figuring it out, as far as which mode to use. I just used whatever came up when turning it on. Should I be scrolling through the presets and using one of those?

Scroll until it gets to the Sweetener setting, then press wheel to select then scroll to EQU for equal temperment. Then press wheel again to select.

I don't use a sweetened tuning but I do have a Buzz Feiten guitar. I like the strobe because I can 'lean' the tuning of certain strings which is really the same as sweetened. I know I don't like to be sharp and I don't like the wound strings at all sharp relative to the unwound.

I don't have the StroboPlus HD, but I do have an old StroboStomp (the original version, I think), the VT-1, and the 490 Autostrobe. They are all incredible tuners. My guitars have never been intonated or tuned nearly as well until I got the VT-1. I added the StroboStomp for my pedalboard and the 490 for a larger version. The backlight for the strobe disk on the 490 is blindingly bright, but that's the only complaint I've ever had about any of them.
