Anyone else digging this new Ghost?

Yup! At first I wasn't sure but now that I have listened a bit more, I like them!

New video is super cool. Music-wise I don't like most of what they did after the first album though.

Was never in to them before Meliora and now I'm a fan of a lot of their catalog. I actually just got to see them while I was visiting Montana last week. Never thought I'd catch a show like that whilst visiting the big sky, but I did and it was glorious... I had seen them at a festival before and some of the magic was lost on a short set in the middle of the day. But it was a fantastic live experience to see them headline the Wilma. Great stage production and great band.

Yeah they have grown on me too.. hated them at first but I started appreciating something about it... and now I realise it is in part because they really understand the importance of a melodic hook and chorus. I know I have heard the chords from that chorus in about 500 other pop and rock songs already but it works with what they have going on.

Ooooooooooo! SUPER JEALOUS!! Seeing Ghost would literally be the ONLY a thing that could make Big Sky better...

I love Ghost, saw them last weekend in Oregon for the second time and that song was the opener, sounded great. Actually got to meet Papa after the show when they were loading out. He came out and signed stuff and said hello to about 30 people who were hanging around. Then my son and i were walking around and saw the crew guys going into a local bar there. Guess who was hanging out... Papa. He was at the bar and i caught his eye after a few minutes and offered to buy him a beer. He said he just ordered one but asked me what i wanted, and bought me a pint. Then i left him alone for an hour or so and then we started chatting a little. He was super nice and down to earth. Then we closed the bar and he shook my hand etc and that was it. Should have asked about gear as he also plays guitar, maybe next time. I'm sure the other ghouls were there too, might have even talked to some without knowing.

Did he talk about satan ? I can see the bible thumpers on here already preparing to add you into their evening prayers.. I always figured the "satanic" shtick of the band is almost a metaphor for free thinking and to question conventions around you. I bet he is actually a fairly well spoken knowledgeable person and likely did not spend time trying to convert you to the dark side.

lol, thanks bro. Even if i don't believe, I believe in universal kindness. If praying makes people feel better and they think it will change the world, I am all for it! (that goes for all religions, not just the ones we think are the "right" ones)

Do people honestly not get that they are not "satanists"? Its just a show... a sold my soul for rock n roll show.

Probably not "serious" satanists but Papa used to play death metal, that's bad enough for x'tians haha.

The whole satanist stuff is old and over played. Sad too though because they are not a bad band who really doesn't need to go with such a childish gimmick.

I love ghost. Their whole schtick reminds me of a soundtrack to a B-horror film or an episode of scooby doo. Lol

They definitely need the image to go with the lyrics though.

Its not an expression of belief or ideology and I dont look at it as a gimmick or schtick either. Its a show, and a great show at that.
