Anyone else live in a old house with shitty wiring?

So I live in a really old house that has fucked up wiring. Lights will randomly dim, fans will slow down for 10-20 seconds and then return to the set speed. It's a crappy old house too, that I will be out of soon, thank God...

However, I feel like these power issues might be affected my amp? It is possible that the poor power is changing my tone? Or is it all in my head?

I'll plug in and play for a while and then it seems something changes randomly and it affects the sound. Am I playing tricks on myself?

I did for most of my life. Aluminum wiring. Noisy as all hell.

My dad went thru most of the house fixing a lot of it. Still sucked on certain outlets. Traveler circuits were the worst. He remodeled the kitchen big time. That was the best room to crank an amp up in. Man, my parents loved me. They let me play loud and often.
