If it's a great amp, I have no problem going with this, minus the MXR GT-OD. And I have.

Always had a tuner and sometimes a wah and for about a year in 95/96 used a rack Alesis for time based FX and a lead boost in volume in a 5150, but in almost 15 years of playing shows never used a boost or drive. I don’t know why but it never occured to me to boost amps. I always just tried to have amps that had the gain and tone I wanted within themselves. The 5150 was a step in getting more saturation than the Silver Jub’s I’d used for a few years, which I just set on the lead channel, right before flub kicked in and picked hard.
After the 5150 was a UL and then a Marshall 6100. All used with no boosts. I only boosted at the very end of playing live because I had a 2203 and boosted for leads for my last band.
I think part of it was the idea of a busy, front of stage didn’t appeal to me and often didn’t have much time to set up and go and tear down and split.
