Years ago I had UPS lose a 4x12 shipped from Guitar Center. It went Out for Delivery but never showed up.

I called and asked how they lose a giant 90 lbs box, particularly once it's already loaded on the delivery truck, but they really had no explanation. A week later the 4x12 showed up at my door. Very strange.

This is what I’m hoping for. Although the more time that passes, the less likely it is to show up.

This is what tracking shows now:

We're attempting to verify the package location. / Investigation only

I had Fed Ex lose a Carvin TS100 Power amp that I sold but I have typically had good results with them. UPS on the other hand usually gets it there but I've had too many experiences where they are careless with packages. Im dealing with a cracked headshell claim now after I boxed an amp with styrofoam corners, styrofoam peanuts, bubble wrapped then I had UPS pack it in an outer shell box for added protection. How the fuck does that happen? Yet I wasnt completely surprised.

I used to take guitar lessons from the guitarist from Manowar(before his child porn charges) and he shipped this awesome pro series Jackson Rhoads and he put foam around the fins, then placed inside a hardshell case, then placed in a box with peanuts and by the time it got to the buyer they had damaged the top fin pretty badly. I was at his house when they brought it back to him and the UPS driver leaned it upside down against his truck despite having tons of "this end up" stickers all over the box. So Im of the opinion that this guys just dont give a fuck and if it gets there in one piece but if not then oh well "not my problem".

I have a Mark IV due to ship back from Mesa and I worry constantly about it.

Last year, DHL lost my RJM MMGT22. It came all the way from USA to my local DHL distribution center, and then it "vanished". Being pissed wasn't even remotely close describing my feelings. It was never found.

With that happening are you sure you didn't bang one of the driver's wives prior to the ordeal? That would be straight up the worst loss.

More likely that I accidentally banged his daughter :D

But in all seriousness, it's most likely that it was stolen by one of their own employees. Either in my town, or at the previous distribution center.

I got a friend a gift the other day and my package was supposed to be delivered on Saturday via USPS. I got a message saying "sorry, your package is running late and should be delivered between 21-24 June". Just odd that it is such a wide margin of dates and no updated shipping info. I guess the COV-19 stuff is jacking everything up.

Update - UPS found the package and it showed up on my doorstep yesterday. 3 weeks after it was scheduled for delivery but at least I finally got it. Unbelievable!

Yes. Waited all day for a TopHat amp. Finally looked at the UPS site once again around 7PM and it said delivered.

Long story short; after getting the run around by UPS and no tracer allowed until 24 hours, some guy in some other town on some other road at some other address who can actually read drove out to my address and redelivered the amp to me. The amp was dripping wet because UPS left it in the rain ... it was supposed to be signature required but they just dumped it on the porch. :gethim: I'm thankful for some good honest people still left in this world.

This sometimes happens after they do their investigation. Takes about a week or longer. They can tell if it was delivered and stolen by the driver's GPS.
