Anyone ever had to send their Mesa back to the factory for repairs? Ive got a Tverb with a FUBAR'd Orange Ch. Along with tremelo problems and switching problems and all around LDR problems. Its got issues. Im thinking it would be best to send it back to mesa. Can anyone share their experiances with this? Are the costs reasonable? Turn around time. I know this all depends on the problems with the amp.

Don't they have an authorized service shop in your area?

I have sent two amps off to Mesa, a MKIII and a MKIV, they turned them around in 3 weeks and the service was excellent, no issues. They have a standard "fee" of around $150 plus any additional work that needs to be done but they are the absolute BEST on repairs to Mesa Products. I would never send out my amp to anyone else. Plus your amps comes back in a brand new shipping box you can re-use

Good group of guys. I dropped off my recto a while back for some repairs and wound up taking the full tour before I left. Took them less than 2 weeks to fix my issues and they mailed the amp back to me in a new recto box with the form fitted foam. Price was very reasonable.

The closest to me is peoria IL about an hour away. Im in BFE

They have an amazing tech at Flores music named Dave Lancaster of Lancaster Amplification. The problem isnt dave, its Flores music. Every time I take an amp there, there is no comunication, very long turn around times and they always force me to get shit I dont need. Everytime before i take an amp into a tech I swap tubes to see if that was the problem. Everytime Flores throws away my Brand new tubes and sticks mesa tubes in my amp and forces me to pay for them. They tell they are bad every time. The last time I was there I brought my stiletto trident in and specifically told them to "leave my fucking tubes alone!" They even wrote that down on the repair tag. When I picked up the amp, my brand new SEDs were replaced with mesas (this is a trident = 6 EL34s = $150). The douche that runs the shop (Victor) is an idiot and a major liar. feeds me bullshit all the time. He procedes to tell me the tubes I had in the amp were all bad and that they were some "crappy tubes I bought on the internet" He didnt even know what they were. I cant even begin to ell you how retard lies ive caught this fuck in. Fuck you victor :codeak: :powpow: :uzi: :jedi: :force:

OK...Im cool :D

So basically Im not taking an amp to them ever again.

Bummer too. Its a nice shop. Lots of great gear and descent prices. The dudes just a moronic liar

Mesa now charges for those nice boxes they return your amp in, not a lot. I think 10 dollars. Still a better box then you can buy at the UPS store.
To have them repair it you have to call and get an RA#. Send it in and wait a few weeks. They call when it's ready and get your billing info and they send it back.
Pretty simple process.

I don't like that guy at Flores either. Always been a prick, doesn't know what he's talking about.

That guy does sound like a real prick and sounds like he is running kind of a scam. Did you ask for the tubes that were in the amp back? I think sending the amp to Mesa is a good option in your situation.

I always provide original parts back to the person I am doing the work for (guitar strings are an exception). If they don't want them than they can throw them away.

That is outstanding!! See, that is the type of customer service we are starving for in this country. I'm not asking car dealers, guitar stores, etc. to kill themselves trying to help me, but just show some pride in your work. Every company, whether a burger joint or some huge corporation, should try to do their best and make customers want to come back.

I've had work done at Mesa Hollywood, never sent it in. They are amazing though, really the best!

I just may have to try this. I got a 50 caliber that took a shit after running a hotplate to it.
