Anyone here live in or near Madrid, Spain?

I'm so psyched I leave in 2 days!!!! One of my old high school best friends lives in Copenhagen, so there's no hotel fee associated with that city and as far as the other cities go, I'll be going to those cities with multiple classmates and probably stay in a hostel.

AWESOME so go to Denmark man, I've heard only GREAT things about that country. I'm still pending to go.

Watch out for Hostels....in Europe they tend to be a bit dirty and WATCH OUT FOR YOUR BELONGINGS, I can't stress that enough.

other than that enjoy! Spanish girls are BEAUTIFUL and like Ricky said, LOVE to party!

I am Danish, and I can confirm that it is indeed awesome. The awesomeness generally happens in the summer, so if you can hold on, go in July or August.

man lucky bastard. I've heard you guys are VERY polite, the city is clean and there's close to no crime. Awesome!

Right now I live in Malaga. I have done since the age of 3, apart from living a few other places in my early twenties.

I think what "put me off" Barcelona, was that while it's still in Spain it might as well be another country. The people and the culture is very different from my part of Spain.

Denmark is a nice country, and the people are generally very friendly.
As for crime... There is a lot happening. Much more than people will have you believe. But I suppose it's like every other country in the world. You can easily get a whoopin', but you can also avoid it. If that makes any sense.

I don't live there (I lived there for a year in my late teens) because it can be quite dull. The winters are long and wet, and the taxes are just flat out ridiculous. It can feel very surpressing.

En mi caso no me siento ni Español ni Danes. Hay días que si me siento uno de los dos, pero la mayoría de el tiempo me siento Europeo mas que nada.
Si estoy en UUEE, no me siento tranquilo. Vivi en Boston un año, pero nunca me daba la sensación de estar en casa. Pero ya en el momento que el avión llega a tierra Europea... Ya ahí estoy en casa.

Pero también es muy curioso, que cuando llego a Dinamarca me da la misma sensación de estar en casa. Y ya después de una semana quiero irme a casa otra vez.. Málaga.

hahaha joder tio que problema existencial tienes. A mi me gusta mucho EEUU, pero también me gusta mucho Europa, especialmente españa y Holanda. Estuve en Berlin y me gusto mucho, Paris y Roma tambien aunque no viviría en PAris ni en roma. Dinamarca esta en mi próximo viaje a Europa, me han hablado demasiado bien de ese país.

Si supieras que no he ido a málaga, de andalucia solo conozco Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada. España es excelente me gusta mucho mucho.

entonces vives en malaga desde los 3 años? entonces que idioma hablas y cual es el orden ? tu ingles es muy bueno, no hubiera dicho que no eres americano, cosa que no es común en españa (un español hablando buen ingles y sin acento)

Pues lo tenia que aprender todo muy joven, que en verdad es la mejor manera. Mis padres son Daneses, fui a un colegio Ingles aquí en España. Solo tenia 4 años cuando empezó, y tenia que aprender las idiomas muy rápidas. La alternativa era no entender nada de nadie. Pero hoy en día lo agradezco mucho.

Desde luego, me sorprendí mucho el Mexicano. Cuando fui a Boston vivi con dos "vatos" de Monterrey, y no entendí absolutamente nada el primer semana!

Me imagino que también tenéis vuestro "idioma" ahí?

no realmente. todos los paises tienen su jerga y sus palabras únicas, pero el Dominicano habla un español bastante normal. Quizás el acento sea extraño comparado con el español, pero nunca tuve problemas para que me entendieran allá en españa
