Anyone know what pickup this is?

I got a 1989 Charvel Model 1a and the original owner changed the bridge pickup. I bought a pickguard wirh a humbucker space but this pickup sounds so good, I almost don't want to swap it, lol.

It has one rail down the middle and is pretty hot.

I was also thinking it looks like a Bill Lawrence. It has that curved rail look.

I've never played one, but if it was mine, I'd be inclined to keep it, at least for a while. Lawrence is known more for his HBs, but from the little I've read, these singles are really really good. Probably a little rare, too, since I'd guess it's from about the same period as the guitar. If you like it, keep it in and enjoy!

Yeah it definitely sounds like a full humbucker and I agree with you man. It is a bit of a collectible, lol. I thought the pickup was scre2ed up when I first got it but just needed some contact cleaner.
