Anyone not really dig Suhr guitars?

It took me a while to bond with my classic T but now it is my favorite axe. It needed quite a bit of work on the setup side when I got it (couple of years ago so this is not a honeymoon thing). I suspect that is mostly because it traveled cross country in July to NC and I'm guessing it didn't like the temp and humidity changes on the way. Once I got it set up I was having trouble with it sounding out of tune. I thought it had an intonation problem or something but it checked out fine.

Turns out I was fretting too hard. The guitar actually plays so damn good I had to get used to it. None of my other guitars can touch it for playability and as for tone, the Suhr pickups are some of the best I've heard. Between the great pickups and tried and true ash/maple combo this guitar cuts the mix like a knife when I need that tone without being high output or sounding shrill

Never played one, but they don't appeal to me. The look like gaudy 80's wanker guitars to me.
You could have stopped after the first sentence.

22 frets is a serious limitation for me.
"There’s no money beyond the 5th fret" - Tommy Tedesco ;)

Dumb statement by Tommy.

I know what he meant. You have to have a good song, but....there's more. ;)

Why would I? If someone wants to be offended, that's their problem. Plus, if someone is offended that easily (someone not liking a guitar that they like), then they must have a pretty stressful life, going around being offended by everything.

What an incredibly stupid, self centered comment to make.

So the question I have is, are you still beating your wife? Yes or no.

What a douche baggy, bs comment...look we all have different tastes, no need to bag on someone elses....if you think that one looks "way" 80's then clearly you weren't around to see some real excess of the era or are just overstating...only a few suhr models really scream 80s and that's what they were intended to do.
*Looks at topic title... * I wasn't aware that only positive comments were allowed in a topic about not liking a guitar. If you like them, cool, but no need to get all butthurt because someone else doesn't.

They are just not my bag. Everyone isn't going to like everything you like. Get over it.
You assume much. I actually don't own one of John's guitars so I don't like or dislike them....and I don't care what you like or dislike, to each their own....what I take issue with is bagging on someone else's taste in music/style/guitars in such an insulting manner just because it's different than what you like. It's an asshole thing to do and not necessary. You're essentially doing what you're bitching about.

How is it such an insulting manner? The topic asked for people's opinion. That's my opinion. I don't see why anyone would get all emotionally devastated because someone on an internet forum has a negative view of a guitar/musical style they like.

I like some death metal, but I don't fire off butthurt comments and go cry in a corner when someone refers to them as "cookie monster vocals" and "chainsaw guitars".

Funny thing is that you're bagging on his tastes aren't you.
