Nope. Not here. It can take me an hour just to find the key

I wish. My ears suck. I have to use a tuner, i can even memorize notes on fretboard visually, but my clumsy fingers will still play out of tune.🤣🤣🤣

Nope. Tuners are my friend. If I try to tune a guitar on the fly, I always hear the opening A in You Can Still Rock in America. I can get close but never exact.

That's what I hear in my head too. Its nice because its also "climbing" to the right note.

You Really Got Me for Ab

My mom had perfect pitch. I could turn my back to her and play a chord, she's guess it right every time. Cm7.. A#m. Whatever. I even met some of her music professors from when she went to college for her music degree 25 years earlier, and they commented that she was their only student that had perfect pitch. But.. that wasnt a tuning thing. Dad had to tune her piano.

Yep. Start with the A string low and try and replicate it.

Nope, but good enough relative pitch that I don’t feel the need to strive for better. IE- I can re-string a Floyd and only use the tuner when tuning with the fine tuners. For the E (both) and B strings for some reason I can get within a couple cents right away, but not so much with the others that I feel out by how much tension is on them.

Very thankful to have started playing before Youtube “How to play….” and tabs only came in $25 books or monthly guitar mags.

I can teach I can shred
But no way do I have perfect pitch . Know what makes you weak in your and work on it .Once I know key I’m in I’m good though .My ear reacts to that

Only with my farts. They always have perfect pitch.

Like others have said, I can get super close to a low E when tuning up. I can obviously hear it when chords are out of tune as well, but nothing that would be considered perfect.

I don't have it but I've always been a little fascinated by it. Mainly because of Beethoven and his composing a whole catalogue of killer shit after he was deaf. How the fuck? And WHY the fuck when you'll never hear it?

Beato has a kid with perfect pitch and posted a bunch of videos on the subject (deep dives). Here's a couple that I posted over on the other side of the tracks. First one is from 9 years ago. I timestamped the second one to the important part.

My son has it. Can tell me any note I play and what color tones I'm using with any chord, intervals, all that. I sit around and wish I had that kind of gift.

I can hear relative pitch really well, especially in chords, but it's nowhere close to perfect
