Anyone own a BluGuitar Mercury or played one?

I have been considering getting the Orange Gain Baby as a smaller, heavier sounding Super Crush, which is what I gig with.

I stumbled on great videos of the BluGuitar Mercury and checks a lot of boxes that the Gain Baby does, compact, non typical tube amp, loud, etc.

The Super Crush 100 I use is in the vein of a nice crunchy Marshall and wondering how thr BluGuitar will be. Any info is appreciated!
 
I have owned the Mercury and Iridium. Sold the Mercury because I didn't need both. For my tastes, should have kept the Mercury but I still really like the Iridium. In a nutshell, the Mercury has a touch more of a vintage vibe. No experience with the Super Crush but have been looking for one passively for a while.

Do you say that because you like more of a Marshall vibe?
 
I have the Mercury. I thought that was the better fit for me because I don't play metal. I'm playing it through a Mojotone Canyon 1x12 with a Neo-Creamback (in 1/2 power mode). The reverb is what I would call "good enough". The gate is usable. I like using outboard drives and it really likes the SD-1 Waza. I haven't really played it alot so I've mainly used the Vintage and Classic channels. It covers a lot of ground and wouldn't hesitate to gig with it.

Euge (the count) worked with Thomas Blug to replicate the tone of his Bad Boy JCM800, and Euge toured with the Iridium for a bit.

Im afraid the Iridium will be too heavy sounding and won't be able to do Marshall but also would like a modded Marshall tone.

When you say metal, do you mean Godsmack and Slipknot or even Judas Priest or Ratt, etc? Id be fine if I could do Alice in Chains, Priest, etc.

I mean more like Slipknot and thrash type tones. I'm shamelessly still stuck on the Sunset Strip circa 1985. It does that no problem. The gain level is there but it's probably not tight enough for the metal crowd.
 
I have been taking a Mercury Amp1 to every gig as the backup to my Marshall DSL50 since 2021. I have only needed it at a gig once and it was totally acceptable. I was hoping it could replace the DSL full time--but that is not the case. It's also my rehearsal amp. I wish the tiny little pots on the side were on top of the unit and easier to work with as they are helpful for tailoring the sound.

I actually like the Sunset Strip tones more myself. I don't sit at home and play Drop A stuff or even Drop D very often to be honest. Id rather have a great ACDC, Dokken, to Alice in Chains tone amp.

If you have the time to check out a quick section of this vid of the Orange Super Crush 100, id be curious how it compares. I use that for my band gigs and is great for Marshally, punk and hard rock type tones. I imagine the Mercury can do that. At around the 7:10 mark, that is what I gig at:
