Anyone recognize this Bogner?

I've noticed a pattern here. Most great amps start out as Marshalls. Either a Marshall that's modded, or an amp built around a Marshall design. The same can be said for Fender. Also, I believe the first Marshall was basically a Fender copy with the parts/ components being from different sources (which gave it a unique sound from Fender).

I think I have read the same.

Fender were the Pioneers, everyone else was just a mod.

That looks pretty cool.

Most amplifier designs are borrowed. The early Marshalls were Bassman copies, I believe, but with changes that depending on who you ask either were intended to be improvements or merely due to component availability. I think Fender is credited as the first to commercially offer an electrified guitar amplifier, but how original those designs were, I don't know. They have have been modified PA amps, etc. Everyone's been building off of earlier designs.

Some people say it all started with Ford. See the link below

I think I may have saw this floating around here a few years back and if it is the same amp, it had the most amazing tone ever.

Let's bring this discussion back on topic. Yes it looks visually like other Bogner mods done. Can Charlie at Bogner provide any clarification??

I remember seeing this amp around before, I just can't remember where...

Totally off topic to the OP, but there was Fender, there was Marshall. Those are the 2 primary circuits. The only major deviation from these circuits is/was Soldano.

FWIW.

Marshall started making amps because fenders cost to much in the UK. Took the Bassmans design and used affordable and easily attainable parts.
