Anyone tried the KOko boost?

Hey. yes the Koko boost is a great pedal.. used it with an Original Bradshaw OD 100, a Badger 30 and a few Marshalls and it worked great. The mid select feature added lots of versatility, or it could be set up as a straight clean boost. great pedal for sure! Takes a good lead tone and makes it ultra liquidy without being too over the top..

I have the original (on in this vid) koko boost and I love it too. It is the cornerstone of my lead tone now. I use mainly Marshall style amps with a good crunch and then a TS-808 for more gain/rythms. I'll kick in the clean boost for leads. Awesome. Mid boost is great for more cut if that is your thing but i usually like the fatness that the clean boost brings.

i have the original two button one

love it death.

clean boost works great with all my amps

i am able to set the amps cleaner, and then boost em with koko for solos and heavy rhythm

love it better than ts9 booster variants.

sound bigger and clearer.

Love the reloaded version I use it on the blue ch. on my 5150 III to push it over the top. Mid boost switch on the far left q on max and clean boost set around 9 oclock. I kicked my maxon 808 off my baord plus the bufffer is great.

My favorite boost. I got the first version and it nevers leaves my pedal board. Ever amp I try it on it sounds good. Easiest boost to use IMO. Everyone should try one.

That should give you an idea right there, it is a keeper. I'd try to grab one of the original two button version if you can..for a while they were easy to find used on TGP and even here. I got mine shipped for under 200$.

I love the Koko. I have it on my board along with with a Shiba Reloaded. Each button fills a different boosted tone. A little pricey to have them both on the board but just sounds so good.

They sure never show up used in my area...and I've been waiting/watching for a while.

Koko boost is one of my fav pedals. Stays right next to my Timmy, and both just work with any amp.

The original koko boost is my favourite solo boost pedal. It's just amazing.

Which Koko boost and whats a "timmy"??

I have the original and have had the Reloaded. I didn't need two, so put both up for sale and the Reloaded sold first. They both rock. The Reloaded is a bit fatter sounding.

Timmy is a great great overdrive pedal that can be a clean boost, a middy overdrive like a Tube Screamer, an eq shaper at the end of your signal chain...an indispensable tool however you wanna use it.

That is why I would recommend the first version.. for me, it didn't need to get any thicker. the clean boost is fuller already when stacked on top of your regular signal. The mid boost to the left is the ticket for me. They should still offer both versions. Not sure what i'll do if mine ever breaks. I like my Marshalls to cut, I'm not big on thick.

The added thickness is great for single coils or into a bright amp.

I like the mid switch to the right on the original for a more smokey flavor. Works great in the 60s mode of the Fargen Olde 800 for getting that woody ACDC sounding lead sound.

Did they stop making the original? I was under the impression that they were making both.

I actually was hoping they could do a double mid boost koko.. the "KoKOMID". That would be bitchin'

I have the original Koko Boost and it is a great pedal. I use it when in the 3rd gain stage mode (no diode clipping) of the Fortin/Gower KK++ to give it that extra bump or with the Cameron Atomica which thicken up the tone!!

awesome thanks guys any one know where to find them in Ohio and what does the mid boost do

You can just buy them online unless you live near a Suhr dealer. The midboost provides different ranges of mids, but I have a very versatile amp to where I have a selection of the type of mids I need or want so I do not use it much nor really have used it with the Atomica. Others can pipe in on this. Here is a good demo.

Is it a gain boost as well? I have a mark V and usually scoop the mids would the mid boost be good for solos with that amp?
