Jesus died for somebody's sins but not mine. Thank you Patty Smith.

Typical.
Typical.
Are you really that fucking stupid that you don't understand how off-based and invalid your comments are? Sure there are asshole, hypocritical Christians. There are also asshole hypocrites in just about any sub-genre of the human race that you can name. To define an entire group by the actions of a few is laughable and pathetic.scoobydoo":3szob4ly said:And the biggest hypocrites that I've encountered in my life were the biggest bible thumpers I've ever met. Case in point. Now I'm a bigoted asshole undergoing a personal attack from Ejecta because I made a statement of facts that I feel are true. How unchristianly! Do as I say, not as I do.

Everything you said is valid and reasonable, if I understand your post correctly. There's some ambiguity to the sentence that I bolded...is that your opinion or are you saying that's the misinterpretation of your earlier posts?scoobydoo":13qshdq6 said:Here's some music that I'd love to share with you all.

Catchy, huh?
By the way, if you had read my initial post CORRECTLY, I was not talking about ALL Christians, but yet "another" Christian who really blew it. His intent to have someone murdered is not of the same magnitude as finding a wallet that belongs to some little old lady with $500 in it and not returning it. We are talking about attempted murder here. I don't see you jumping on the others here who have posted with less than flattering comments overall. You can call me stupid/asshole/etc, etc all day long, doesn't matter to me. The minute that I say that this guy is a scumbag (yes, murderers are scumbags, whether or not they do it of have someone do it for them), and that he is actively engaging in hypocrisy of the worst kind then all of a sudden the entire world of Christian faith is put on the chopping block by myself. So for those of you who believe, why don't you direct your faith and prayers to the three very young adopted kids who's futures will be altered considerably now that their father will not be a presence in their lives due to the fact that he wanted to have their mother killed.
Sociopathic for sure.
VISTA -- At a court arraignment attended by his friends and fans, heavy metal singer Tim Lambesis pleaded not guilty Thursday to a charge of soliciting the murder of his estranged wife.
San Diego County Superior Court Judge Martin Staven set bail at $3 million. Once he is released from jail, Lambesis must wear a GPS monitor and stay away from his wife and their three children.
Lambesis, 32, lead singer for the Christian-themed band As I Lay Dying, is charged with trying to hire a hit man to kill his estranged wife, who filed for divorce in September.
In divorce papers, she alleged that he has become emotionally distant, is preoccupied with bodybuilding and touring, and spends money irresponsibly, including on numerous tattoos. The couple has been married eight years and adopted three children from Ethiopia.
Deputy Dist. Atty. Claudia Grasso said Lambesis several months ago sent his wife an email telling her that he no longer loved her or believed in God. His wife also learned that he had had several extra-marital affairs, she said.
Grasso said Lambesis gave the deputy posing as a hitman $1,000 and the address of his wife's home and the computer code to the front door. The tip about his desire to hire a hitman came after Lambesis allegedly told someone at his gymnasium that he wanted his wife killed.
Lambesis was arrested in Oceanside on Tuesday after allegedly seeking to hire an undercover sheriff's deputy to kill his wife. The meeting was arranged after deputies received a tip that Lambesis was trying to arrange the murder of his wife.
At the arraignment in Superior Court in Vista, a readiness hearing was set for June 10 and preliminary hearing for July 10. Lambesis was represented by defense attorney Anthony Salerno of Los Angeles.

Just for clarification, what I was trying to express is the fact that the word "another" is not all inclusive to involve the entire human population that shares the Christian faith. I have had friends of all Colors and Creeds (definition of Creed - the key points within a belief system). But there are many different belief systems that exist in the world, and a lot of which do not co-exist comfortably with one another or multiples thereof.
BTW I am part African (read = Black) and Arab as well, so to address a previous poster here who was attempting analogous language
to deride me for my viewpoint, and then using the word "Nigger" in the process - maybe you should use your analogies a little more eloquently. Just a thought.
And no, it does not make me a complete moron because I am a non-believer. But I am a Belieber.
Gosh he's so cute!

Sorry if I offended. That's an honest apology. However I 'm also a little suspect to your all of the sudden back pedaling when you had several posts to clarify and now your again poking fun at "believers" with your Beiber reference but thank you for trying to clarify.
Honestly I would think you would be more understanding about being stereotyped being a part of a group that happens to. All the Christain bashing by non-believers just gets so old with same ol tired lame ass illogical stereotypes.

Seriously?
I'm not anti religion, but that's an abjectly ridiculous statement.
Are you really tossing out "the devil made me do it" as a justification?
Are we really at a point where we have ZERO accountability for our own actions?
I'm almost fucking speechless.

I don't think that's what Giles is saying.
Think about it like having two groups of people that can potentially influence you, and you listen to the idiots and do idiotic things. You're still accountable and you still made the decision to act like an idiot on your own.
