Sounds great!
Cab you record a clip of some high gain rhythm?

Thanks!!

Will do. I'm not a Modern Metal Type player, so I can't do the Djent type stuff,(I suck at it lol) but I can record some high gained out stuff that In the old man style I do and post it. :D
With that said, I'm not sure what style you like, so that why I posted the disclaimer! If more of a modern vibe is what you go for, I know that Ola has one of these and I'm more then positive that his clips are going to KILL!!

Cheers!

Definitely not looking for anything djenty or super modern. Im stuck in the 80s/90s and love thrash and if I remember your other clips right, we seem to like the same era more or less so anything you think sounds good go for it!

I did 2 quick clips last night just to show how powerful the Parametric eq's are in this thing. These are just test clips but you can get an idea from them. I would have done them earlier but I haven't had much time lately.

Both clips use the 5150 model. One clip is the 5150 model with no eq and the other clip uses one parametric eq with a mid bump.

I labeled them both.

I used a tube screamer in front of the unit like I would a normal amp. There is one in the unit itself, and it is killer, but I wanted to see how the Amplifire handled pedals and It reacted just like an amp IMHO!!

More clips coming soon ;)

Sounds great Ralph. I hope you're doing well!!!

Of the two new clips I like the one w/out the para eq...but maybe it's just me.

I like the non eq'ed one a little better too. Seems to breath a little more if that makes sense. Either way both clips are killer. Thanks for the demo Ralph!!!

Sup Pete!!
I'm doing well thanks! How bout you? Hope all is well with you and yours!

I actually agree. The parametric test was just to show how you can drastically alter the sound just with an Eq!

Its the same sound just with an added EQ.

Cheers and thanks for listening!!

I actually with ya! I just mentioned the same thing to Pete. I just wanted to show how you can drastically alter the sound just with one eq!

Cheers and thanks!!

On another note, I just did this a few seconds ago using the Brown model :)

Going to post more serious clips as soon as I get some time!!

Hope all is well!!

A little modded Marshall vibe!

gainy!

word up bro-tah-toe salad!

you always play great--and i really want to like this device.

i liked the non para 5150 clip but i'd really need to hear more mid gain type stuff to get a better game peeper. most modellers have workable high gain with tones of compression but start to give up the ghost when gain is turned down.

the bubbly bell of a fender, the glassy deep throated plexi chirp, the gritty chime of a vox, the cameron dirtbike,

...the fragile harmonics and felix unger honk of a dumble :D

Brosephus!!

When talking about digital modelors, I echo what you are saying to a "T" and I pretty much said exactly what you said but not in the way one and only Mentoneman can :D

I think the Amplifire kills for the mid gain stuff and it doesn't get that gnarly compression unless you hit the crap out of it with a Tubescreamer (which adds compression anyway) I'll see if I can come up with some examples of what I like for the mid gain stuff. At the end of the day though, you need to check one of these out in person if you can!!

Hope all is well with you and the family!!
