Atomic CLR

Celestions are made in China, FWIW.

And here's something I was thinking about the other day. Remember when "Made In Japan" was something we avoided? Well, look at it today - especially in the world of musical instruments and peripherals.

If I may, I see this happening:

Japan is what the US used to be.
China is what Japan used to be.
Korea is what China used to be.
Indonesia is what Korea used to be.

Totally off topic to the CLR context of this thread, but seriously... Japan's taking over! And I don't think China's far behind when it comes to consumer products' quality and consistency. Outfit any factory with the right tools, education, and eye for detail and QC, and it doesn't matter in the presentation and performance of the final product.

Gibson has a hard enough time consistently pumping out one model of quality Les Paul. ESP pumps out 1000s of guitars with a <1% tolerance in QC. Go back to the late 80s and no one was taking Japanese guitars that seriously. Now? Look how many there are.

Are you saying the speakers themselves are being manufactured in China as well?
The CLR is "the speaker itself."

What is the breakdown of country of origin in the make up of this product?
What is your basis for asking the question? Have you been given information at this level of detail from any manufacturer of any piece of music gear? If so, which manufacturer has given you that information?

I too know Tom personally and hes a friend. All that aside, the guy is a consumate professional, crazy passionate about his company and products and bends over backwards to accomodate his clientele; His customer service and desire to see anyone who purchases them satisfied should be a benchmark for other companies out there. I cant say enough good about the dude and Im REALLY looking forward to hearing the CLR's

FWIW, the country of manufacture doesnt mean diddly to me...

I don't know, I kind of like seeing this...

That's just me I guess

Jay - my basis is consumer, or could be.

I respect your preference, and I wish you the best of luck in finding a speaker that satisfies it.

Very well then.... Zhème jiǔ Wǒ de xiōngdì (这么久 我的兄弟)
