Attenuators

No to be honest. It’s a great sound but not a plexi really. It’s just the blue channel with a gain stage removed. Great low gain tones and takes pedals really well though.
Yep- it's cool, but compared to my Suhr SL67 it's not the same.

And, back on topic, a Bogner doesn't need attenuation to sound good at low levels. Its core tone is preamp driven, unlike a non MV amp. use the fx loop level as a master volume and you're golden.

My take on attenuators- I've had the Ironman and the PS2A, and MUCH preferred the PS. Better tone shaping and volume control, sounds great, and the FX loop is a huge plus.

I find the Ironman II to be a very functional attenuator and impedance matching device. It's NOT a tone shaper, reamp device, power amp, TV remote, or hair curler. And I don't want it to be. I want it to be an attenuator. The solo switch is nice if you're gigging say a cranked Deluxe.

I also don't think the guy with the Bogner (Shiva I think) should be using an attenuator. That's got a good master volume.

If you want an inexpensive solution to just knock off a few DB's the Bugera PS1 works. I also had the Fryette PS-2A Power Station and a Weber mass. The Fryette is top shelf but way fancier than I needed.

I am using a ps2. Also using a suhr RL or Two notes captor X in a reamp setup with a Marshall 8008 SS power amp.

I have been very curious about the fromel lotus and it would be easier than my RL reamp solutions, but have not pulled the trigger.
