why not use the amps and get a Two-Notes LIVE. I've said it a million times - best of both worlds ;)
I've never heard of the Two-Notes Live? Checking it out now... Thanks! :)

No amp models - but I think some of the best IRs, and it's a load box. Great for use with heads.

Impressive! I want one of these.

I love the tone of that Marshall.

The Flex SmartAmp & Two Notes Live might be a a very impressive rig ?

It is good to see there is more options these days...

The Two-Notes also has an optional cabinet out like the Palmer. I've been using my Rivera Rockcrusher line-out into a power-amp for low-volume play, but this is looks better. I wonder if the optional cabinet out bypasses load/attenuation or post-attenuator?

So the tide is leaning Axe-2 this week? Can't wait to see who wins next week. :checkthisout:

Its a full moon...what you expect?

Two note, smart amp, etc. At this rate kemper and axe could get overtaken by all the new stuff that keep coming out

Fwiw, the two notes cab simulator has nothing on the Kemper cabs in my opinion. A good profiles cabinet is head over heels about the two notes simulations in my opinion.

Why? That's all that any IR is, isn't it?

I agree! I've been using a head into a loadbox with a DI in between that runs to a plugin running Two Notes. Sounds good!

The Two Notes Live looks great because it takes all the crap I'm using and puts it into one box. :D

AxeFX and Kemper look great too. But I wouldn't sell the tube amps, because cab sims offer a lot of flexibility in terms of tone and volume level for practice.

The ability to service either locally is what really has me on the fence....

Anyone have any service stories for either?

Two Notes has an attenuator coming out this summer, maybe early summer. It does not have cab sims, but works as an attenuator would, with some nice DI options. One being your guitar signal for reamping later on (which I don't care for at the moment), and another a DI of your amp signal that can be sent to the DAW for cab sims. If you want to send a signal FOH, you can get the CAB pedal. It also has a knob to adjust your tone from vintage to modern. Not sure what that actually does yet, but it's there.

I'm looking forward to finding out more about this unit as time comes. I think it comes with a light version of the plug-in, but I'm not sure what a light version is.

Anyways, it sounds like a useful unit for loading your amp for silent recording at night with DAW cab sims, but still have an attenuator for your amp for that purpose if you need.

Good intel... Thanks! Messe 2013 hits in March, so maybe we'll get to see/hear a demo of this new attenuator/DI. DI to DAW is what I'm interested in - if I understand the process correctly. I'm still using mic'd cabs>Mackie mixer>MD8 recorder. I thought I was on the 'cutting-edge' when I purchased my MD8 last year.

If you can still use a miced cab, that's just the way I'd go. All the sims are just missing some warmth or organic thing that comes from a good amp and miced cab. As for Kemper vs Axe, I prefer the Kemper but you're going to get similar results from both. If you like your amps, then something like the Two-Notes stuff may be the way to go. And I will say, being former Axe owner, I'll never again sell my amps again to fund a digital solution and I wouldn't suggest to anyone to sell what they have to fund one. If you can float it, try one out first.

I just saw you had used an attenuator and thought I'd bring up the Two Notes unit coming out as an alternative to Axe or Kemper.

I had an issue with my values dial not gripping properly (spin it and the values didn't budge). Mentioned it on the FAS site, about 3 minutes later got an email from tech support, then a phone call, then a tracking number to ship the unit to them. As for technical service and customer service for the Axe? ZERO complaints.

you could use the axe just as you would the two notes unit with a real amp and have fx to boot.
