Anyone here have any experience with the Miracle Man bridge that is supposed to mimic the EMG 81 with a passive voice?

My go to bridge pickup for that kind of sound in a bright guitar is the tried & true EMG 85
Tell me more please? I've wanted to switch a couple of my 81'S TO 85's but i haven't had the time lately.

It has a similar clarity to an 81, but not as bright. It has a really full lower-mid range that doesn’t get muddy. While it still responds like an active pickup, I find that picking dynamics don’t get lost as much as they do with an 81.

I swapped the 81 in my old ESP for an 85 just out of boredom years ago, and never looked back.

Thank you Man! My biggest problem with the 81 is the Brightness & the lack of low end & the lack of warmth. I have a les paul that is anemic in the low end spectrum & i'm hoping an 85 would help.

So what would you recommend for a bright sounding CU22 with a trem? (drop D, modern alt rock/metal).
I currently have a 57/08 in bridge and it helped a lot.. so far probably the best match although, I'm running it fairly low almost flush with the pickup ring :)

original Dragon2 - bland and uninspiring
Duncan SH5 (custom) - bright but full but a bit ...hard sounding so probably the ceramic magnet is a mismatch for this one?
BKP Polymath - very bright and thin and almost weak.. I think these pickups make sense tuned lower around.. C..B.. A#...
BKP Silo - better than polymath but a ton of 250hz like really woofy
Duncan JB - terrible - a ton of gain and no bass, just treble... had to run gain on 1-2 on certain amp sims
BKP Abraxas - wasn't bad a bit more gainy than the 57/08 and a notch brighter but not entirely bad... a bit more mellow so certain amp sims that are based around the rectifier for instance sounded tubby and bass heavy but bright in the top end

I think PRS guitars and mostly the CU series is closer to a strat than a LP..
Ever think of checking out Suhr Aldrich’s?

I just got around to swapping out the old JB in my Gutierrez for an Aldrich, as well as a much needed fret dress. I can't wait to try it out.

I liked the JB in it just fine, but after so many years the sound had just grown tiring & it's time for something new.
