he ordered the 4x KT88 version 150 watt "K2" model.
Thanks for shooting that out for me. This thread fell down a little too fast.
Regardless, Dave at Baron amps is a very kind gentleman. He responds to questions faster than you can ask them, and I presume his amplifier could be the king of the ones I own. He knows his stuff folks, if that helps you out
I am VERY excited to find out what this thing sounds like in person. I don't think words can express my curiousity. I will own the second K2 made, and something tells me that he's going to be churning these things out a lot faster once I record some clips for you folks
Looking at my gear (in my sig), I don't have "the most expensive" amps around; price isn't everything. Every amp I own does a different thing, and it does that particular sound better than any amp I have ever played or owned.
I have not been impressed by A LOT of the boutique amps I have played, especially for heavier music.
There are about 4 amplifier manufacturers other than Dave that have caught my interests:
a. Mike Fortin (I wish the Natas was out already

)
b. John Suhr (From what Samhill has shown us,

)
c. Dave Friedman (who is currently modding my Windsor

)
d. Engl (I have played two and not been impressed, but the Savage 120 and Firball series are supposedly insane. The clips I've heard support this, but you need to actually PLAY IT).
I'm hoping this Baron will turn off the G.A.S. valve.
