BBB to Pass by the Look of It

Very interesting viewpoint.
The lockdowns, which were unprecedented in recent history, has changed our society significantly. It's only been 5 years. My area has not returned to normal yet, and maybe it never will. That is something that happened in the past, we can see and quantify the results of those actions.
The tariffs you mention "are poised to"
BBB "will potentially"
But neither of those things has happened yet.
So you seem more upset about things that haven't happened yet, than about things that have already happened.
Probably because you had a better than average experience in 2020.
But it does raise the question of why some people are ready to jump off the cliff over things that haven't happened yet?
All i heard is how the world would end because of tariffs. There was supposed to be another forever war because trump bombed Iran. Those haven't happened yet either.

You're obviously entitled to your opinion and we all have different experiences which influence those opinions.

I am careful about my choice of words deliberately. Tariffs are poised to have a disastrous effect but we won't know the full effect of them for a while. Some businesses are hurting now. Particularly the gear space to put a fine point on it. In the coming months we'll find out if there is long lasting damage. I hope not.

BBB does have the potential to blow up the debt but it has not yet been signed into law. It could be stripped of making the 2017 tax cuts permanent but that seems unlikely. And, I find it hard to take people seriously that have spent years complaining about the debt that are now supporting the BBB. It's a bad bill.

I keep saying this over and over: I don't like Trump and I think his policy ideas are bad. But, I also want America to succeed. My worldview is not attached to Trump as a politician or the MAGA movement. I want results and accountability.

Well ain't that special.

I love when Satan is the voice of reason in threads

Many dark blessings upon you.

But, no. I am NOT the voice of reason here. I wouldn't even want that responsibility because most of my posts are more about trying to reason through my own views. I'm just another asshole with an opinion. I happen to like some of the assholes here that have different views than me.

McGovern: "For those Republicans who think it's okay to give Jeff Bezos a tax cut and at the same time cut food benefits for struggling families, let me say clearly: We don't share the same values... I believe there's a special place in hell for people who take food away from veterans, seniors..."

Why do you care about things that don't affect you in the least?
If i want to save myself from hearing loss by using a suppressor (noticed you included the incorrect term 'silencer') on my pistol, what is it to you?
And SNAP benefits- do you even know what they are? Do you know how many people buy booze and cigarettes with SNAP? Are you aware of the corruption of SNAP and how badly the system is abused/defrauded?
Huge story last month where officials (guess which side) were bilking millions of dollars from the SNAP program.

Why do you care how big the ICE budget is?

The stupid is strong with them.

Socialist Democrats lied about the Quarantines/Lockdowns and mishandled the Pandemic destroying the country as a result per the NIH……

Thanks to their lies Americans suffered more than any time since WWll. Now they are lying about the BBB like they did about Quarantines/Lockdowns…… they were in lockstep then and are in lockstep now against President Trump and Americans/America.

The country shouldnt believe them ever again or their lies that destroyed America and its future…….

Trump will Make America Great Again and the BBB is a part of Making America Great Again!!!

The President is now in a window of opportunity where he has…….

Unlimited Power……

And President Trump will bring peace, order and glory to the country once more, set it on its true and destined path and Make America Great Again!!!!!

So where is he making the cuts that will make up for 2.4 trillion in additional national debt this bill produces?

Fiscal conservatives aren't fiscally conservative once they control the munny just like isolationist conservatives aren't isolationst once they got the helm. We need to bring back the anti-masonic party.

As the representative and Bessent said we have to look at GDP growth as well. If our GDP is strong and all the indicators say so relative to debt ratio then its all gravy.

Especially with tame inflation despite tariffs, good jobs numbers, positive Fed reports, sub 30 ViX etc etc.

The country would also be in a much better position to regulate its debt in that scenario as well at such point and all indicators show thats the direction the country is heading in along with DOW 50,000. You also get more revenue with more growth.

It’s a win/win for everyone even those who dont agree with it :dunno:

Seems unrealistically optimistic especially considering the potential for democrats to gain control again sometime in the next ten years. Good jobs numbers aren't any good if they aren't good jobs. Looks like I can probably buy a suppressor without jumping through the hoops. I'm liking some of what I"m seeing but more national debt is unacceptable at this stage.

You still gotta jump through hoops I think, you just don't gotta pay $200 for the privilege.

So in other words, mostly pointless.
Well, as opposed to a regular 4473 of which the electronic record of the transaction kept by the government has to be destroyed within 88 days ( you know, if you actually believe the ATF follows the law) an NFA item is registered to you. So rather than the paper 4473s which are required to be kept by the FFL and not supposed to be digitized and in the possession of the government, these would be actually registered to you with the government.

So you are still asking their permission to exercise your right, but at least now you don't have to pay for it.
