I just found this and haven't even watched it all yet:

Edit: 100th post! Only took me 11 years

It's Sweetwater, I love them but I've never seen one of their demos that made an amp sound good. I'll reserve judgement until mine arrives or some other demos pop up.

Yeah. I know that. There is no way this amp sounds bad, but if it can sound bad, SW will achieve it

Despite the fact that it's a Sweetwater demo and they had it EQ'd weird for some of the BE/HBE tones and that it was on half power (WTF?) I thought it still sounded pretty good. I'm optimistic that it will be awesome in person.

They have had worse for sure. Still doesn't sound like a Friedman

And i KNOW it actually sounds good. Not first hand, but it's a Friedman. All i need to know really

I liked the demo and the sounds.

The HBE channel seems to be more vicious indeed.

I dig the Strat and LP tones. When dude is cranking the gain with the washburn... it's just not there. A little messy sounding. NOT the EQ settings i'd use, so that could be it. Could be the Sweetwater effect (bad recording).

Againa... doesn't matter. I know this thing will slay

Yup. Another SW demo that sounds bleh...

I️ still can’t wait to try one as you all said. It’s a Friedman. It’s going to be sick.

Face this another listen and illlpartially retract. Mitch and Don’s parts sound pretty damn good...

Yeah, I thought the lower gain LP and Strat stuff sounded very good. Sounds like it does those tones better than my Smallbox did. I think the mush on the HBE channel can be attributed to them diming the bass and treble and scooping the mids.

BE's tend to be darker and smoother and it's not impossible to fall into a messy sound when you try to play them with a lot of gain. For some styles this can be actually good, for others quite the contrary.

They should have done the "Akira Takasaki EQ", with the mids and treble maxed out.

With this type of EQ settings and with new thump and response knobs, Im sure the amp can sound much more sharper.

The tone at the beginning with Dave Black was a full power and dialed in by me..

I've listened to the demo a few times now on some decent speakers and it is actually one of the better Sweetwater demos. I really think the LP and Strat sound great on the clean and BE channels. To me the Dave Black section at the beginning does sound a lot better than when the Sweetwater guys demo the HBE channel. Can't wait for this thing to ship!

I didn't know that Sir Anthony Hopkins enjoy playing Heavier stuff on guitar.

Not digging it. Loved the BE100, loved the concept. Less is more, as some in your face tone with an added gain stage (HBE) shared eq for both, great clean sound with seamless channel switching. There are plenty of 3  and even 4 channel amps out there without sharing a tone stack. Its so obvious with the marketing with Sweetwater. Damn can we get Audry Hephburn involved in some decent acting lessons. WTF! Love friedman name and products, no need for the lame marketing. Let's sit around the campfire jerk off and tell friedman stories eh John Boy. Fuck the amp not much joy in hearing it with the 2nd grade marketing involved. Sorry if this offends anyone. I love friedman amps ,and (own a BE100)period. This is gay!

Let me clarify: No disrespect to the OP. I understand you are just posting this based on the interest and hype of friedman products. The no nonsense vids with Dave and Doug on sweetwater are outstanding. No pom poms just features and sounds demo

Just give me Dave Black and all the Seduce riffs ...instead of the old men waiting to get paid ..no offense to Dave F .

No offense Dave Black is older then me.. maybe we can do a video with just him..

It's a "shame" Pete Thorn has his own signature amp already, would be awesome if he could do reviews of the BE50 Deluxe -or any other Friedman amp for that matter-.

I hope EytchsPi42 can do a review of this amp as I love his silly and extense reviews. Andertons reviews are good too.

In all honesty i have had awsome dealings with Sweetwater and Friedman. So i think my post was direct and maybe to critical. I just expect better because of the reality of better* being available to us
