I had a Triptik with a spongy switch. It was helpful getting fat low/mid gain tones.
Would certainly be nice to have on about any amp really...

All those subtle changes can really make a difference in a recording situation. Live, maybe not so much.
Nice to see the added versatility for studio situations, more builders need t be doing this.

gtrs, the Mods are a great asset to the overall, and in the Recording Studio is a bit more under the "microscope" but still that Rawness, just by the way you articulate can go sweet to aggressive, which I love.
I have access to a 500 seat auditorium where musician friends gather and "Rock Out" which is great finding the best tones (to me), maybe not every mod-adjustment has a huge difference, but I can sure hear the difference since I got my amp back from Dave. I loved the tones from the original BE100 as well but the modifications work for me. "Yes" more builders should do this, Like different Players there is something for everyone and for the past 10yrs I was a die-hard "SLO" user (I still love them and my son now is carrying the torch) also Bogner XTC 100b/101b/Classic & Shiva, CAA PT100, VHT Pittbull CLX.

I'm sure the mods are making an impact, my comment was directed more at the switches. Sometimes they are more beneficial for the player than the audience....not always though.
I've really got to get my hands on a BE100 someday soon.
Oh, and you & I like quite a few of the same amps.
Love me some Shiva, XTC & SLO tones!!!!!

I wish they were easier to find and try out before buying though.

gtrs I know what you mean, I've gone through so much gear over the years but I'll tell you if I didn't really love my BE100 I would get rid of it! Maybe that's why I've gone through so many Marshall inspired amps? I love the EL34 tone, after Soldano/Bogner/Fryette/Suhr boutique amps All of them are wonderful. It was my son (loves to research everything) that suggested the Friedman, of course I heard of Dave's work as being "old school meets modern" then I wanted to try it? Captivating, inspirational, fun to play is the best I could discribe it. Other than GC as a general music outlet, in their orig. factory condition, most likely won't be able to try a "modified" version.

The number of amps I went through over the years sounds to be comparable to most guys here and it seems as though I've landed in the Fender and Marshall camp (as many others do as well).
