Jcm 800, evh 5153 50, mesa mk3, vht Deliverance, soldano hr 50....all can be found for around 1k or less...MIJ charvels are nice also..

I have a PRS SE Åkesson model.
Solid workhorse, sounds and plays great.
I swapped the bridge pickup to a Wilde L500XL, but only because I wanted a little more bite.
The stock pickups are perfectly workable.

I should have added that I basically got the new 1x12 5150 iii combo for under 1g after some sales discounts. Not quite but close.

As mentioned its hard to beat any version of the 5150 series at the new and used price points. Ive owned so many more expensive amps and keep going back to Peavey and Fender 5150's. I have a 6505+ and a EVH 50 watt head now and both are killer and could be had used in the $700 range. They destroy live also.
