'Got a guitar coming. It comes with Fishmans. The Pickups weren't my first choice, but the Guitar itself is pretty much what I've always wanted without paying for a custom build, so I took the leap of faith. Guitar coming, stay tuned..

Anyhoo, it comes with a Ceramic in the Bridge and an Alnico in the Neck. At heart I think I'm an Alnico guy and it would bug me if I didn't turn over that rock to find out if an Alnico is the right choice for the Bridge or not. So I bought an Alnico and am checking it out. I have high hopes for it. It has some cool features EMG took many years to come up with in separate models, where this Fishman has it all in 1 Pickup like it's a Passive..

3 voices along with a Gain drop option if you want lower output.

V1 is stock, V2 has a peak shift, and V3 is a Single Coil where you can select which Coil to activate. On the EMG you'd have to flip the Pickup 180 degrees.. It's all done internally, so no wiring Coils the Switches or Pots. All you do is ground out Pins to activate your choices. Check it out..

Yeah their feature set is unmatched.

I wish someone made a better 25K push/pull pot though. The ones they included want to cook, especially on the wiper contact, and I don't even think it's my shit soldering technique. Luckily you're on the plug and play end of the wire...

My experience is that the Bourns are actually really good. I've tried CTS, but they are chunky as fuck and failed rather quickly..
