Awesome show
Metallica played like 4 separate encores at my show...it was insane. They played for like 2 hours plus...it was amazing. Kind of ruined my expectations of concerts....as most could not touch that one. Still.Seeing them open for Metallica on that tour was my first and only time seeing them live and looking back now (at the time I was actually glad), I wish I could have seen the entire set. Houston had iced-over that night so it took a little longer getting to the Coliseum but then after we parked, we noticed there were a few hundred people in line outside waiting to get in as HPD was patting everyone down.
Everyone got really pissed when they heard Queensryche start and a near riot started and would have progressed into one if the barricades didn't give - by the time we found our seats, their set was about halfway over.
That's one show I'd love to relive, not just because Metallica was so fucking on and awesome that night (the entire floor became a mosh pit by the encores - chairs ripped from the floor and in several piles with one huge pile in the middle people were fucking dancing on...just wild), but to be able to take the whole Queensryche set in.
Yea i saw suicidal open for them in shreveport. It does seem 100 years ago. We are getting old lolSaw them in Detroit play Mindcrime start to finish. Probably around '88 or '89. Suicidal Tendencies opened for them.
Yes, I am 100 years old. Or at least that's how I feel this morning.

I probably saw you at that show.Damn, I saw them in Detroit playing mind crime start to finish. I have a dirtbike habit like you. I never saw suicidal tendencies and that seems like a match made in dysfunction!
(Trying to remember who opened for Queensrÿche at the palace)
Awesome!I probably saw you at that show.
I just came inside. I was in the shop and I fired up the Husky TE300. Can't wait to rip some woods. Going to be a while longer though.
Take Hold of the Flame on The Warning tour was one of the best live moments ever!saw them open for 1984-5 Kiss Animalize tour at the Forum in support of The Warning album, which i loved. That was my fave.
I saw Mindcrime at Irvine Meadows and it was cool too.

I also saw the Greensboro show (was living in Raleigh at the time). Definitely one of the best shows I've seen.Saw this in Greensboro. Best rock concert I ever saw. I was a HUUUUGE QueensRyche fan then.
Checked out after Promised Land. La Torre is cool but I'm out.
