Best distortion/od in front of a Marshall??

If you're looking for a distortion pedal, my favorite so far that I've tried has been by far the KHDK Dark Blood. I may get one in the future. I MUCH prefer it to the Friedman BE-OD. Other distortion pedals I've owned and gotten rid of have been an actual 1985 Proco Rat, Mesa/Boogie Throttle Box, Mad Professor One, Boss Metal Zone, MXR Fullbore Metal, Bixonic Expandora and have tried a bunch others. I like the KHDK Dark Blood better than all those pedals. I've never been that into distortion pedals though. I generally prefer to use fuzzes into a clean amp like my Russian Big Muff or Foxx Tone Machine

Always been a big fan of ganging 2 pedals for that like a clean boost into a SD9 or Treble Booster.
Single pedal I have had good experiences with the Bogner Red.
