Don't know the Heavy, the Ecstacy Red is a decent choice, but the Theta flat out rules. I use the Theta - Torpedo CAB combo.
Why the FRFR though? Just use the Theta into a power amp or effects loop return.
Use the CAB for recording or direct to board.

I got rid of all my shit. Liquidated all my tube amps. LOL. Yeah I get down and out this time of year. New gear gets me through it. I have two Active Matrix Q12 cabs coming. I have the amplifire. Just looking for something else to occupy my boredom before I get, or if I ever get the AX-8.

I've seen Fluffs Theta video. Wish there were some other ones that illustrated heavier tones from the thing.

This thing sounds pretty badass too.

Yeah I'd have to try the Heavy out in person but the difference there is when the guy says that it can go in front of an amp.
The Theta probably could go in front of the right amp, but it really is a preamp and it shines being fed into a power amp. It sounds like a modded Marshall with a killer noise gate. I had an Amplifire for a short while and the Theta killed it for high gain Marshall tones.

Well my solution for now is FRFR, hence the getting the Torpedo C.A.B which has Power amp emulation built in as well as cabs.

Yeah, you'll be good to go with those Q12's. I've ran mine into some powered PA speakers and it sounded great.
Try a Theta out from a place that you can return it just in case it isn't your bag. But they're priced a lot nicer on the used market.

Yeah there's a couple on sleezebay for $220 or so. But if I go full price with SW I can return it.

Chumbucket, LOL. Kid is watching sponge bob right now. heh

Just looked on SW. $366 new. Jeesh. Why not $367? Or Even $370?

You won't lose a dime if you pick one up for $250 or less. You could flip it for around the same price if you don't like it.
Or hit up the chat at MF and see if they'll let you do 15% off on a new one.

I wanna try out the ISP Beta Bass pedal. They don't seem to show up on the used market though. That means they either sound great and people are holding onto them or they're just not selling? They're over $400 new.
