Best Dream Theater album : Awake

I&W is the their best album IMO. Awake is my second second favorite. Erotomania is highlight of the album.

The correct answer is Octavarium; though Metropolis Pt. 2 is close and acceptable.

Actually, I like them all; which is best depends on what I want to hear. What a great catalog. IMO

I agree, but there's a couple sleepers that I also dig, Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence, and Scenes From A Memory. I think those 2 were at their peak.

To be honest scenes from a memory might be Awakes equal . I love 92 - 2004 . Now it’s all good but man they make some epics . Long as fuck songs

I love that album too but the songs in Awake hit me harder . Just feels right to me . The 7 string is killer

I like them all too . But like I told Redneck the songs on awake hit me in the feels

Kevin Moore should’ve stayed in DT. He was so great on the first two albums. He’d be wealthy and could have easily done whatever side projects he wanted. Feels like a waste of talent. He was a major contributor.

They have so many great albums. I have no idea how they remember all that material.

Really like Distance Over Time with Mangini too.

What an incredible album Awake is but I still like Images & Words more.

This is the album that first pulled me in/under as a teenager. Then I found our local library had a copy of images and words live in japan on VHS. Blew my mind.

Awake is #1, followed closely by Images And Words. Didn't care for much of anything else they've ever done.
