dude, get the gower killer kali++ in the classifieds, they are amazing, or send gower an amp to get the rockmonster mod. it is an AMAZING mod!! killer tone, dual masters, dual gains, depth (boost bass or mids), toggle for gain style, great fx loop, monster 5 gain stages, footswitchable, and on top of killer tone, they run so quietly, even when using a ton of gain, you don't get that high gain hiss most amps get. here is a clip of the rockmonster that dan gower recorded and played on!! killer,, thick, punchy, and articulate tones!!!! I cant get enough of this amp, every spare minute I get I find myself gravitating towards the rockmonster. there is not many amps out there that can keep me totally focused for many hours each day playing.

Also the older used 2 yr or older Friedman BE 100's Sell for closer to $2700 (you said you don't want to spend over $3000 on a Friedman) nothing wrong with used and a lot of the guys on these forums take meticulous care of their amps. Braciola here had one sit for over a month recently at $2700 on multiple forums. Was in great shape too.

The newer ones with loop volume are great. You could buy a full Splawn QR Stack for $3000 compared to other boutique heads for $3000.

When I finally buy my own house that is one amp that I will be buying again.
