Just wanted to let you guys know I got my BFG fully modified 2003 three channel Mesa Dual Rectifier. It is unbelievable! Sounds huge, thick, smooth, throaty, fat, chunky, articulate, punchy. man, this is the best Dual Rectifier I have ever played. This is now a permanent member of my amp collection!
It is definitely heavier than my 2010 Dual Rectifier so I wonder if this 2003 model has better components than the new Dual Rectiifers because this is much heavier than my 2010.
Holy cow, the raw channel has more gain and can go from classic rock to lightewr metal! WOW! Vintage mode is fat, thick Marshall's best meets Mesa's best! Modern is clearer than ever, no fizz at all! Plus, tones are just as good at bedroom levels! WOW!
I am interested in giving Brian at BFG some business next year for a Marshall DSL or TSL mod! Anyone had Brian mod their Marshall DSL or TSL? If it is that good, I will forget about buying a Splawn and instead have Brian do a DSL mod!
