I still have a deep respect for Zakk and what he's done, but I really miss the early stuff before the Viking biker days gone bad... LOL ... No Rest for the Wicked and No More Tears as that's when I felt his playing was really on fire!

Not a fan of his super mushy tone nowadays, but I'll always check out new BLS because they're pretty great and Zakk is still killing it on the fiddle.

I bet I can tell it's him in a blindfold test without him even playing a note. Just turn the amp on and hear the whirling washing of his drenched effects and feedback coming out of his speakers.

I do miss the Ozzy days and I still think he's one of the greatest, I just can't get with his voice.

For BLS, that’s not bad. Tone is good. I would love to see the 89-95 glory days Zakk, but this is not too shabby from beardy.

Not bad but those guitars are hideous. I can't see how Zac is selling any of those.
I think his guitars are hilarious. I wouldn't spend that much on what seems like it's meant to be a joke, but they are just so bonkers that I think they are fun.

I liked it. Cool riffs and groove to it and also his singing is less nasally than other songs in the past. What isn't to like? I am happy he is still bringing it. Nobody stays in their glory day prime forever even though we may wish they did. It just doesn't happen. This is as good as anything he has done as a solo artist so I am happy he is still doing his thing. @harddriver - Thanks for the post.

As someone who prefers BLS to his Ozzy days, it's fine.

Tone-wise sounds exactly the same as his last album (Doom Crew Inc) which was an improvement from the previous one to that (Grimmest Hits). Bit more ballad-y than I'd like out of BLS but this might be his best singing in a while.

Overall prefer that other new song that was basically just a CoC riff on repeat.

I liked it alot more than I thought I would....which surprised me, and the solo was good. The guitar low end is flubby on the chunks but he has to be tuned pretty low to my ears.

The lowest I go is 1/2 step down and dropped D so maybe this a C tuning that metal guys use I dunno.:dunno:

I think it's in Drop B# which I know he's used before/recently. Just watched the video again paying attention to his finger placement, and then playing the riff on my guitar thats in Drop C# it seems he's a full step below me.

On second listen I'm also realizing how many obvious influences/callbacks it has. Dude was clearly listening to For Those About To Rock when writing the intro, and the chorus here reminds me of the chorus in No More Tears.
