A lot if his music would be so much better and actually rock IF he just tuned to Eb vs tuned to drop gutter. Sounds like shit slugging along with zero string definition. I can barely hear the chords.
I think it's in Drop B# which I know he's used before/recently. Just watched the video again paying attention to his finger placement, and then playing the riff on my guitar thats in Drop C# it seems he's a full step below me.
On second listen I'm also realizing how many obvious influences/callbacks it has. Dude was clearly listening to For Those About To Rock when writing the intro, and the chorus here reminds me of the chorus in No More Tears.

Yup, I just blindly lowered it by a letter without thinking.Full step below drop C# would be drop B ?

I have some of the Black Label stuff and listen to it from time to time, but I do think even the Pride and Glory stuff was much more interesting. His tone has been mush for what seems to be an eternity. I also prefer his singing when he was doing the more straight up souther hard rock thing. He actually has a good soulful voice when he isn’t doing it through his nose.
He’s a very likable guy and I want to like what he does but I just can’t.
B# exists in music theoryNever heard of a B# before...
Yes, I was being facetious, but you wouldn't call it that in the context of just tuning your guitar to a specific note.B# exists in music theory
Yes, I was being facetious, but just in the context of tuning your guitar string to a specific note.It does exist in the C# major scale !
