I agree. Otherwise I wouldn't listen to hm anymore - "pure" blues is boring (to me).

I guess you could say the same thing then about healey, bonamassa or Kenny wayne sheppard.
the sloppy loose feel of cream or some of the others really doesn't appeal to me honestly, and if I took that train of thought one step further, by cleaning it up and making it tighter, I think that would be how zep took it to a larger audience and created more mass appeal.
then again, I am a noob to the blues thing pretty much from a purist standpoint. who knows, maybe a year from now I will have a greater appriciation for howlin wolf's style and not just his songwriting and feel.
