I was simply asking because I was trying to figure out why my Bogner 4x12 is the weakest sounding of the three that I have. Maybe I was making the assumption that the speakers were broken in. I'll just keep rocking it and if I get around to it, maybe I'll just pull the batting out if the tone doesn't seem to be getting better.
Weakest sounding how? Comparing to what?
IME, the Bogner 4x12 is a slightly undersized cab with a tight bottom end and gives you a very upfront kind of sound. If you're used to OS type cabs, the Bogner can sound smaller because it won't give you the same kind of resonance. I've got greenbacks in mine and love it. Compared to my 4x12 recto cab, I can push the power stage harder and hear more of the amp and less of the cab. YMMV.
My other 2 cabs are a Mojo 4x12 and a Marshall 1960B. I'm just thinking that the speakers in the Bogner aren't broken in the more I listen. I just assumed that they were since I bought the cab used.
