I'd say you got him pretty good there. This guy is pretty out there though, he acts like a cornered cat or some shit. The way he layed into sgt.thump was just mental illness type shit.

Damn - I thought this thread was going to be about the Bogner XTC. Everything I read and hear about this amp sounds great. Where have I been this whole time?

What ever happened to all the people who were going to lose their jobs because he was going to get them fired over posting about him? That was funny...

I'll bet the furniture in his house (mom's house) has plastic on it just like his pedals...

Based on his Youtube vids, he isn't that terrible of a player.

Just a hall of fame jerk-off. Surprisingly for one that lives with his mom, he exhibits all the symptoms of "not hugged enough" disorder.

if you can turn up a good plexi/jmp/jcm800/900/dsl it will do what the xtc does on all 3 channels with your volume knob on your guitar. crazy huh

I like all those amps, but that's completely crazy. The Extacy has more gain, is more liquidy, and is voiced way different than all of those amps. I love single channel amps and using the guitar's volume to achieve different tones, but in no way are you gonna cop 3 channels worth of modern tones from those amps.

xtc does not equal modern tones

i have heard the xtc classic do some stellar vintage tones BUT the 101b can get down right vicious! i can get very modern tones out of the 101b

Exactly, I love Plexis etc. but there is no way you are dialing a stock Plexi with no pedals to approximate a 101B's highest gain channel.

Just not possible.

I agree with you on this one to a certain extent (up to the DSL part) but think that if its going to be a channel switcher this is the one to have. But yeah, one channel done right can pretty well cover it.

It's hilarious how Carl sends occasional e-mails begging Chris and I to let him back on the board yet when he finally figures out how to get back on his own, he's got to be a tool again. And yes, he begs like a whiney, fould mouthed child...
:D

oh man...did carl get banned again...that's the best entertainment on the web...

Wow, I'd not noticed how long it'd been since he'd posted here.

When was the last time you played one? A post 2004 or an older one with the factory modded red channel has gain/grind for days.

Shit - I haven't looked at this thread until now simply because I really didn't like my ecstasy and I didn't want to post anything negative.

I think this thread is hilarious. We should let Carl back once every other month just for entertainment purposes. Anything more than that would give me a migraine.
