I've had a chance to try the 20th now and based on the up charge for me to source a used one let alone a new one is quite significant, but the plus side is I prefer the 101b anyhow!

It freakin rips man!

BUT ANYWAY!!!!! CONGRATZ on a killer acquisition there Good Sir!!! Damn fine amps... DAMN fine.

My 20thA-X is a desert island amp. IF I HAD to choose ONE, that is, ahem - lord help me that day ever comes... Eeeek.

But ya, classic machine - Steven Lukather, Dave Kushner, Steve Vai (early days), EVH (early days), and a slew of fresh talent. Goes from mild to wild, no problem. Tons of tone. Can't make it sound bad - that's a cred right there

Agreed, Mojo. The 20th is the best Bogner out there for my tastes. It takes what was so great about the 101b and Classic and sits right in between. This doesn't get talked about a lot, but the Vintage/Modern switch on the amp can get you either a modern/tighter sound or the Vintage mode can get you into that greasier/spongier 101b territory. The 20th Ecstasy is where it's at for me. Pure class, even the clean channel.

Of course, I'm bit by the Bogner bug, so I WILL get a 20th EL34 Metal grill and run them both together through 2 2x12s and 2 4x12s hahah

That will be the ultimate setup for me!

Did you pick that up at a Long and McQuade in Canada? Looks like their ticket attached... if so, what did you pay Canadian if you don't mind me asking? I would also dig an Ecstacy!

Congrats OP, one of the greatest multi channel high gainers made. And pre 2004 models are my favorite.
