Cool. I have a classic and had a really early white chassis on loan for awhile back in '07 or so. I'd love to play a pre 2004 101b next to the Classic.
The Classic is a monster and I love that it's not overly compressed but there was was something about the 101b blue channel that i remember loving. Love it on the Classic too but I think the blue on the standard 101b is phenomenal.

Was gonna say no way that is a 2001 given the tolex but see it was recovered.
Mine was originally a 2001 101b, then had it modded to the Classic by Bogner in 2002. I much prefer the Classic overall. But I agree the best part of the 101b was the blue channel. Both are great amps though!

Hot new amp day! Enjoy it! I like a plain Jane mid to late 2000's 101B with class A/AB. Easier to find a "home" with one of those than the classic or the 20th Ann for me. I REALLY wanted to like the 20th Ann because I found one used at a great price a few years back but, I kept thinking about this NOS 101B sitting at another store. So in the the end I said screw the resale value and bought the NOS 101B for MORE than I could have gotten the mint 6 mos old 20th ANN.

But ya, classic machine - Steven Lukather, Dave Kushner, Steve Vai (early days), EVH (early days), and a slew of fresh talent. Goes from mild to wild, no problem. Tons of tone. Can't make it sound bad - that's a cred right there
