No matter where or what the source, conjecture like THAT is going to create an incredible frenzied hype over the release of this amp... And what sucks is, likely, the first batch will go to the frothing cash-fronting public, only for them to realize the 2nd batch have some tweeks to them making them more stable, less fizzy, etc. and then they'd wished they'd saved their cash and bought a v.2 Helios rather than one of v.1s which are now going for Peavey-pucks in the member classifieds

Fkn gearheads. We're a sad lot.

I just heard 3 to 5 month wait for this amp.

We were told about 10 weeks by Bogner at the LA amp show.

Apparently from a post on another thread...Bogner is only making a certain number of these until the end of the year and that's it for production.

I got an email from Jorg at Bogner and he said that they would stop shipping by the end of the year.

Wow ... They are gonna stop shipping them before they even start shipping them! Now that's a limited edition for sure!

These are extremely limited. In fact, so limited, that once you spend your coin on the full pop price of the production model, you get an email of how good the amp is. And that's it. Emails are transferrable warranty inclusive to other buyers and investors. Talk is resale of these emails with full warranty are going to be nuts. Virtual toggles are installable on some emails that allow owners to state whether or not they prefer the EL34 or the 6L6 tone from the email stating how good the amp is. This upgrade doesn't come without a fee, and it's not cheap. Limited email upgrades for presale available. And they sound even better than the amps in the v.1 emails.

I think the first player demonstrated some pretty cool cleanish tones.
This thing sure has some teeth to it.
Def not helping quell the GAS for one.

this vid here shows us that this helios is a serious contender in the metal market as well... besides being a blues jazz and rock amp with a TS808 or a boost in tradition it handles good metal tone as well I guess...

The hype alone makes this a must-have item...

Re: new bogner amp - the helios
If I could have chosen one amp at the LA Amp Show to come home with, it would have been the Helios 100W.....maybe the 50W, but I didn't hear that one.

It's the fattest, meanest, most brutal sounding hotrodded vintage Marshall tone ever. It's not cheap, but I was surprised it wasn't more than $2850, being a handwired Bogner made in the US Custom Shop.

I'll put it this way, if Van Halen didn't have a guitar and amp company, and he actually wanted the best tone he could possibly have..... VH would have a wall of Bogner Helios amps, and there wouldn't be one complaint about his current tone. They'd need a guy with a broom to sweep all his Peavey and EVH junk into the nearest trash receptacle. LOL

Masterfully written!
