I am trying to decide between the Bogner oversized 2x12 and the Custom Audio Amplifiers 2x12. I have played through my buddy's Bogner a number of times with my EVH 5150 III 50 watt and axe fx 2. I have always been impressed with the Bogner so I feel like I know what I would be getting. The CAA seems to be well regarded and some say they prefer it to the Bogner but I don't know what to expect not having played through it and the different design with it being front loaded and ported.

Any input would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure they're made by the same wholesale cab builder
Someone correct me if I'm wrong

They are completely cabs. The Bogner is a sealed rear loaded cab, the CAA is a ported front loaded cab.
Im not a big 2x12 guy, but ive owned them both. I liked the CAA, its smaller. Also louder and had more prescence. I liked the
Mesa Recto 2x12 as well.

Thanks for the input, anyone else have experience with the CAA 2x12?

I owned a OS Bogner for a few years, I recently played a CAA. I prefer the CAA.

If your in Michigan check out Stone Age! Best cab I've played!

I think the CAA sounds like crap, way to boomy/farty/bassy sounding.
Owned one for a while, tried a bunch of different speakers but no dice.
The Bogner is a total winner, as is the Suhr 2x12.
