Bogner OS212 open or closed back which do you prefer?

I'm thinking I may go open back. I already have 4x12's so I should use the open back for smaller clubs so it fills the stage better with sound

Depends on the amp. I preferred the open with a 6l6 shiva more vintage woody tone.

Preferred closed back with higher gain stuff.

I really like the Shiva 2x12 OB cab, I've had the oversized closed back also. I struggled with volume levels with the closed back on stage, too directional and beamy. I can run an open back at higher volumes, not blow peoples heads off and actually hear it better. Depends on personal taste and type of music as to which is better.
