Killer. Thanks for posting that video. Well done
I’ve waited 30 years for this tone! (It was worth the wait.) Just finished this video checking out the new Bogner Snorkler 50. Hope you guys enjoy.
Did he upgrade the Transformers? I mean: did he use something else, than those cheap and thin sheet-metal covers, like in the Helios which already bent like crazy even when you only look at them?Awesome.Killer amp. I like it best through Greenbacks so far. Super lively and can be many things . LOVE IT. Another killer amp from RB. Huge Fun Factor. What I liked about the Friedman JJ was the high end detail and clarity. This is a far more alive sounding beast. More gain too.

Nice collection man! Love that Naylor, too. Glad you're enjoying the amp. Definitely not as clear as the Friedman but has a raw, aggressive, "going to explode" sound that's totally awesome.Awesome.Killer amp. I like it best through Greenbacks so far. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!I checked the video and it’s totally awesome! Are you still keeping the amp? I have a Friedman Twin Sister, one channel swapped with JEL high gain channel, afraid there would be a lot of overlap. Curios how they would be compared. I think Bogner sounds a bit more aggressive and open.
Thank you for the prompt and kind response!I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
The Snorkler has WAY more gain than the Twin Sister or JEL. The JEL would be equivalent to Gain 1 on the Snorkler, which is basically a JCM800-type channel. Then you've got Gain 2 which goes far beyond the gain offered on most Friedmans. The Snorkler also has a chewier sound and feel than a Friedman; but, the Friedman has a more polished, produced sound. That said, the Snorkler records exceptionally well for high gain rock and metal applications.
Unfortunately, I had to sell the amp in the video but I am looking to purchase another Snorkler sometime in the next 6-12 months and I don't plan on selling that one ever. It's that great of an amp.
I have the Snorkler and it’s right up your alleyThank you for the prompt and kind response!
I am in between Snorkler and Uber Ultra a bit biased towards Snorkler now. I am not playing super modern downtuned stuff, lowest I would go is drop C but still the Friedman sounds a bit too smooth / classic in higher gain applications, even though it makes the early Marshall stuff in spades to my ears. I seek more aggression and rawness in these applications. I also watched your Uber Ultra in depth video; it sounds great but a bit too modern and I would not use all the features of it. Snorkler seems easier to handle, and it would also handle higher gain stuff (think Mastodon) well.
Please tell me more!I have the Snorkler and it’s right up your alley
Based on this data would say you want the Snorkler.Thank you for the prompt and kind response!
