Bogner vs Mesa

Both are great albeit very different amps, flip a coin FTW lol. If you're like me, buy one and want the other. Nature of G.A.S.

I've had the Shiva 20th now for about 6 months and gig with it weekly (came from a 5153). It's extremely versatile. I use little gain live so I keep the mode and mid switches disengaged. Awesome raw tone. At home I play more metal at lower volume. I engage the mode and mid switch and put the gain on about 3:00 and it just plain rocks. It's like 2 different amps this way. I also boost the amp on occasion with an EP Booster just because I like the coloring that pedal gives. The cleans are amazing.

Now, the thing is it DOES have that Bogner sound. Kind of a upper mid thing that is more noticeable with full chords. It's what I was looking for, something with more character than my 5153. That JP amp is intriguing though and the clips sound s great. If your used to the Mesa tone I would say try that first.

Had an early model white chassis XTC.
Have a Rev Blue and Twin Jet Ubersahlls so I know the Bogner tone.
Just tring to get opinons on which one and why people like one over the other.

Really tough. I haven't tried a 20th shiva, but I have an xtc 101b, and a jp2c. I use both in my band, depends on my mood. If I had to get rid for one, I'd be pissed, they're both awesome amps. Both can cover a lot of ground. The bogner is a bit more refined, thr mesa a bit more pissed. Both can do screaming leads. If you're playing .ore aggressive music, I'd go with the mesa, but Either could be awesome.
