Boogie JP2C (Coming Back)

I think I've finally figured out the way to describe a IIC+ with words....

The notes hit you with punch and boldness. Really articulate. But then, the sound morphs into a smooth, sweet decay/sustain. Anyone else agree? So hard to describe tone in words.

I have only owned the dual rectifier models in the past so I'm not too knowledgeable on the mark series... these sound like they have more midrange than the rectifiers? is that accurate? Do they have all the sub lows of the rectifier series?

If you have EL34 in your Rectifier.... The Marks have more sub lows. It is a much tighter sound. I think they have more midrange than any amp ? But with the GEQ you can get extreme scoop sounds. They are very different amps. I always keep one of each around. The Mark IV and Tremoverb fit my taste best...

Happy to say that my JP2 is coming back! Looking forward to having it again!

Oddly enough I've got some pretty killer expensive high dollar amps and if you crank up the 5150 III 50 watt blue channel MV to about noon it rips and sounds about as good as any of them yet I don't play it much.

this is cray cray

my head hurts

seriously, glad you are giving it a second chance. i did that channel switch yesterday on my Recto and the repeats just kept going as expected. volumes were about the same though. I don't really use delay enough to worry about it.

Just goes to show how different everyone is on tone. I found the blue channel sterile, lame, etc. Red was where it was at for me, but ultimately even though I tried to like the amp twice I sent them both back. An average JCM 800 boosted sounded better for the same price.

Killer. I got about 3/44 saved for one. :D
I never change channels in any of the songs we play. So I don't think I ever would of noticed. ;)

Here is some JP2C wanking for yah!
IPhone low volumes Channel 2/Shred Switch on

Randy rhoads tribute solo. Sounds great!

Ch2 on my jp2c doesnt sound right, there has to be something wrong with it, very cold and hardly any gain, very lifeless, doesnt sound close to ch3 at all. I will jam on ch3 while i have it and in the meantime i will try and find a store that has one instock and buy it, then i will return the broken amp for a refund. The dealer i got mine from doesnt have another instock, i called a few dealers yesterday but i havent found one yet.
