Boosted Superlead vs Jose mod, what do you prefer ?

A boosted Superlead/Plexi sounds a feels different mostly due to NFB values, filtering specs and 2 gain stages versus 3 gain stages. A Jose modified Marshall sounds and feels different to a stock/spec'd Superlead/Plexi.

There are things the Superlead/Plexi's do and excel at that a cascaded gain stage circuit does not do and vice versa. The Jose circuit's gain can be dialed back to sound like a gained up modded Superlead/plexi but as stated where the Jose master is located changes how the amp sounds and feels.

I have a 68 plexi and a 72 Superlead and wouldn't want to Jose mod them because I love what they do and how they sound with all those superlead/plexi attributes. I also own a 1983 Marshall 3 gain stage Cameron/Jose LG/HG mod and I appreciate it's aggressiveness, grind without any type of Overdrive/Distortion pedal needed but it is a different amp to my superlead and plexi. I have to say I like them both equally it just depends on what I want to hear when I play.
