Great tone!! Just one note on the playing. The timing was a bit rushed and it didn't swing. I couldn't have done any better but just giving some feedback.

Sorry, coach....I'll do better next time!!! :dunno:

Yeah, I didn't want to say anything because everyone was gushing but the timing is strange and doesn't swing like the original track. For me that is really the greatness of EVH. It's hard to dupe.

Awesome job. I WILL learn to play that song before I die. Lol. What guitar were u playing through? Any effects? Does the amp have MV and loop now?

Thanks! That was my homemade "Frankie"... the only effects on that one was an MXR Phase 90 on the solos, a faint touch of slapback echo from a Belle Epoch and reverb ala Reaper's plate plug-in. The amp does have an EXCELLENT PPIMV, but no loop. I could've gotten the loop, but I tend to use my effects in front of the amp anyway, so it would've been kinda pointless for me.

Last time I talked to him he said he didnt install loops, maybe he does now? Admittedly I havent been to his website in ages.

Hmmm....maybe he doesn't? It wasn't a consideration for me, so I didn't even look into it....I was just assuming.

Thanks. I'll take that under advisement.

My only complaint about the Bray modded Marshall's I had was the mid hump I couldn't dial out of the tone.

I had Dave mod my Marshall 4 hole 50 watter and asked him to make me a "Van Halen tone generator".....and, DAMN....if he didn't deliver in spades! I'm super stoked! I've been dying to nail this tone since I was 14 yrs old...

Awesome!!!!!

I have always thought the Bray amps sounded superior for this tone from watching the amp show videos in the past.

Sounds great! What speakers are you using?

Two 6402-coned greenbacks and two newer blackbacks in an X-pattern. The mic was on one of the greenbacks

Thanks man! I agree...and I've been through a LOT of great gear looking for the "the one" that does it. Done now though!

Good job dude! Bray mod sounds great

Marshall Class 5 Head

Sometimes the EVH and Lynch stuff gets ridiculous around here.....but MAN.....kickass...I tip thee hat!! Well played Sir  !!

LOVED that! SOunded damn good to me.

I have never been much of a VH fanboi, nor have I tried to get those tones, but I respect the hell out of what he has done and how many people he has inspired.

Good stuff man!

Sounds Great!!! I love Davids amps. The 2022 blew me away. It is next on my list for sure!!! Found some vids of me playing through it at the Amp Show last year.

That sounds great man...if there was anything else on mine, it would be a 4550. I had serious gas for a Suhr SL68, but this amp cured that!

Thanks Man!! Yeah, I love the SL68 too but there is something really special with the Bray amps. You made the right choice!!!!
